* Able to install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial and marine machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand, power tools, precision measuring instruments and electrical meters.
* Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls, adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts, operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery, construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations, assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand, power tools, precision measuring instruments, electrical meters and welding equipment.

* NDT Certified (from BARC etc)

Associate Engineer, Maintenance (Photo/Etch/ Thin Films)

Responsibilities:

You'll provide ongoing equipment maintenance support across our InGaN and AlInGaP product lines, from new equipment introduction through to high-volume production. You'll take responsibility for specific equipment, and acquiring knowledge and skills to become the lead Technician on that particular tool, providing training and certification to other Technicians on that tool.

In addition, you'll provide secondary assistance on equipment in all other areas in the fab and troubleshoot tool events, including root-cause analysis of key underlying issues. You'll also define, write and review preventative and corrective maintenance procedures and spare parts requirements, and ensure maintaining manufacturing techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

* Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* 5 years' experience in front-end wafer fab equipment support, including vacuum thin-film systems, plasma systems, aligners and photoresist tools, wet cleaning systems, furnaces, grinding and polishing systems, SPC tools, and test equipment
* Knowledge of basic pneumatics, gas management systems, leak checking/RGA, and component-level electronics checking
* Understanding of safety, equipment installation and software issues, as well as mechanical drawings
* Good interpersonal, analytical and hands-on approach
* Good team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
* Independent worker with experience in training peers
* Ability to lift ~30kg
* You will also be required to work on a permanent weekend shift
* The candidate must be able to work night shift for this position.
